You can also play around with flavorings and other fruits to add to this recipe. We have used strawberries, a berry mix, cinnamon apples and more to this recipe. The results were amazing. Make certain that the fruit has a good, strong taste so that the flavors do not get lost.

Pork Dry Rub Recipe

As meat eaters, we love nothing more than a good dry rub for our favorite meats and this is something that we tend to make a lot. We love grilling meats and trying new spices. I love to experiment with different flavors and spices while really trying to pull out the flavors of the meat. We hope that you enjoy our Pork Dry Rub Recipe.

However, it is important to note that all spices and all meats are most definitely not created equal. Creating the perfect dry rub to season your meat is always a process or trial and error. It is important to take not only your own tastes into account but to also consider what spices will really bring out the flavor of the meat.

We made this dry rub with every day meat eaters in mind. Really it is a dry rub recipe that everyone will love. While the spices are simple, they are spices that will add flavor to whatever pork you are cooking and they are spices that most people are familiar with so these flavors are not new to anyone. In addition, this is great to make as a gift for that barbecue lover. Print out our handy labels and affix it to your spice jar (we suggest one with a screw lid) then add it to a gift basket with grilling tools or to a gift certificate for your favorite meat place and you have the ultimate meat lovers gift.

Grilled S’mores Pie Recipe

Be a pal & share with others:

Grilled S'mores Pie RecipeGrilled S’mores Pie Recipe

This Grilled S’mores Pie Recipe is the best way to use your grill on Fall. My kids and I love s’mores, there’s something about how crunchy and chewy and melty they are that makes us crave them every single weekend, and since I’m a good dad I’m always trying to make some for them (and who am I kidding? for me too!).

Grilled S'mores Pie Recipe

But I’m not always looking for the perfect moment to make s’mores, I’m also looking for the best ways to incorporate them into our life. We’ve made s’mores pancakes, s’mores waffles, and lately batches and batches of this grilled s’mores pie.

Grilled S'mores Pie Recipe

This grilled s’mores pie actually has all my passion merged into one (it would only need bacon to be complete). It’s grilled which is my favorite cooking method, it’s full of chocolate, it has a ton of melty and sticky marshmallows, and it’s super easy to whip up at home. You don’t need to be a master chef or to know your way around the kitchen to make this, and that in my opinion is what makes it so perfect.

Grilled S'mores Pie Recipe

The reason why this is so delicious is because it’s grilled! That’s also the reason why this is so easy to make. If you’ve never grilled your dessert before you are missing big time because the flavors get a million times better! I mean if you do it right (and doing it right is easy pal), you get all the smoky flavor from your grill which amps up your dessert to the next level.

Grilled S'mores Pie Recipe

You can then serve this as is (because it’s mouthwatering on its own), or if you are feeling like amping it up even more, serve it with a huge scoop of chocolate bacon ice cream on top.

Grilled S'mores Pie Recipe

Grilled S’mores Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 Pie crust
  • 2 Cups chocolate chips
  • 1 Cup crushed cookies
  • ¼ Cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp cornstarch
  • ¼ Cup marshmallow fluff
  • Large marshmallows to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat grill to 350F.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat melt the chocolate with the milk, cornstarch, and marshmallow fluff.
  3. Turn off the heat and incorporate the cookies. Stir to combine.
  4. In a skillet place the pie crust, pour the chocolate mix, and top with the large marshmallows.
  5. Transfer the skillet to the grill and cook until done.
  6. Serve and enjoy. We hope that you love our Grilled S’mores Pie Recipe.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

Be a pal & share with others:

I’m going to be honest with you, I love when fall comes around. I love the summer months, when it’s all about cold drinks and grilled foods. But fall means cooler temperatures and that means I’m whipping up a strong drink. My favorite is this apple cider whiskey recipe that’s easy to make, everyone loves it plus it has some of the flavors of the season.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

There are a million ways to do this drink which is one of the things I love the most, but my tried and true recipe is using a mix of apple cider + spices + cranberries + whiskey.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

My only advice here? Go big on the whiskey! Seriously don’t be afraid by it. Since the apple cider and the cranberries are sweet, and we have a ton of spices mixed in there, you need to go big on the whiskey if you want to taste it out. So trust me when I say this is a strong drink.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

The other thing you need to keep in mind is that you need to cook the spices and the apple cider if you want to have really bold flavors. If you only mix in the spices and call it a day instead of cooking them you are going to end up with a flat drink. Cooking it makes the spices bloom which in turns makes this drink a million times better.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

Finally, let it chill for some time (I usually go for 1 hour but you can also chill it overnight) before serving it. However, this drink is also delicious served piping hot so if you leave somewhere with really low temperatures and the thought of drinking something cold doesn’t make you happy, you can still enjoy this drink.

Apple Cider Whiskey Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 Cups whiskey
  • 4 Cups apple cider
  • ½ Cup lemon juice
  • 2 Whole Cloves
  • 1 Cinnamon stick
  • Cardamom to taste
  • ¼ Cup cranberries

Directions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, place the apple cider, cloves, cardamom, cranberries, and cinnamon stick. Stir and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. Stain and pour into a pitcher and add the lemon juice.
  3. Mix and take it to the fridge for 1 hour.
  4. When ready to serve, mix in the whisky.
  5. Fill glasses with the cocktail.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

Be a pal & share with others:

I love Mexican food.  There, I said it. I also love pasta and all things Italian. In this dish, we will be combining these two loves!  I present you with Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

This is pretty much a combination of the two most popular cuisines in the country. We have Mexican food and Italian food combined into one dish.  This makes for a stupid good meal.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

We are using all the good things an enchilada has, which is basically tomato and chicken, spices, and peppers. We are then mixing that with a little Italian flair; think garlic, pasta and olive oil. Then we top everything with some bacon, because bacon makes everything better (and if you don’t believe then go and check this Bacon Chocolate Ice Cream to see what I’m talking about).

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

This is a pretty easy recipe that only takes around 20 minutes from start to finish. You can whip it up for a date night, you can make it for the family, heck you can make it for yourself! It’s one of those meals that works for every occasion in life.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

The secret is letting the chicken rest with the herbs before cooking.  It takes the chicken from bland and boring to spicy and flavorful.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

And finally always top with parsley, it’s totally worth the extra step.

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

Smoky Chicken Enchilada Pasta

Ingredients

  • 2 cups elbow pasta
  • 1 large chicken breast
  • 4 roma tomato, chopped
  • ½ onion, chopped
  • 1-2 canned chipotle peppers
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley leaves
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 3 bacon strips, chopped
  • drizzle extra virgin olive oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Season the chicken with the garlic, thyme, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate for 2 hours.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken for 8-10 minutes per side. Once done, cut into slices and set aside.
  3. While cooking the chicken, boil water in a pot (always salt your water), and cook the pasta until al dente.
  4. In a food processor, process the tomato, chipotle pepper, olive oil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Set aside.
  5. Heat the sauce is a saute pan.  Once hot, add the pasta and bacon.  Toss to coat well.  Plate the dish, and top with the chicken and parsley.
  6. Serve and enjoy.

Pizza Biscuits Recipe

Be a pal & share with others:

Pizza Biscuits RecipePizza Biscuits Recipe

When it comes to weekend breakfasts I love to eat a big and indulgent one. Think beer banana french toast bites and huevos rancheros. But when it comes to weekdays I was the type of guy that went with milk and cereal that’s until I found out this Pizza Biscuits recipe.

Pizza Biscuits are exactly what we need for breakfast on a weekday. They are portable, so you can take them with you on the go when you are driving to work (they go great with some black coffee), they are extremely flavorful so you don’t need to add any extra toppings which is a must if you plan to take them on the go, and you can make them ahead so it’s just grab and go before heading out.

Pizza Biscuits RecipeI’ve found myself making a batch of these biscuits during the weekends to have enough biscuits for the week. You can keep them in your fridge and then pop them in the microwave for a couple of seconds before eating them, or if you are like me and think that cold pizza has it’s own cool factor just eat them cold!

Pizza Biscuits RecipeI made them in two ways because I like variety. One with some marinara sauce and the other without the sauce and a double serving of cheese. Both of them are just as delicious and as packed with flavor, so it’s really up to you.

Pizza Biscuits RecipeMixing them together is as easy and adding your ingredients to a bowl and mixing until incorporated and then just pouring in a cupcake pan or muffin pan and taking to the oven until brown.

Pizza Biscuits RecipeYou can also make them smaller (using one of those bite sized cupcake pans) and use them to dip. They go great with a good cheese and beer dip and with a bbq chicken one.

Pizza Biscuits RecipePizza Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 ½ Cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 Cup milk
  • ½ Cup marinara sauce
  • ¼ Cup butter
  • ½ Cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1 Tbsp sour cream
  • 1 Tsp baking powder
  • 1 Tsp salt
  • 2 Eggs

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. In a large bowl, mix all the ingredients until well combined.
  3. Optional: swap out the marinara sauce and double de cheddar cheese.
  4. Grease a muffin tray with non-stick cooking spray and pour one scoop of batter into each space.
  5. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, or until brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let them cool down.
  7. Serve and enjoy.

BBQ Chicken Dip

Be a pal & share with others:

I believe that every guy should master 3 recipes: A great steak, an ice cold cocktail and a crowd favorite dip. Even if you don’t like to cook or don’t find yourself often in the kitchen, those 3 recipes are all you need for date nights, game watching parties and get-togethers with friends. This BBQ Chicken Dip is the dip recipe that I find myself making again and again.

BBQ Chicken Dip

To say that is delicious is a huge understatement, this recipe is packed with flavor, is creamy and has all the things a good dip recipe should have: flavor, thick and spreadable consistency and that easy to make factor that in my opinion is a must.

BBQ Chicken Dip

Also, you don’t need a lot of ingredients to make it, but rather a couple of tried and true favorites that should already be staples in your fridge like chicken breasts, bacon, BBQ sauce, cream cheese, shredded cheese, onion and salt and pepper + some green onions to decorate and add another punch of flavor. That’s all you need.

BBQ Chicken Dip

The other great thing that this BBQ Chicken Dip has is that you can make it ahead of time. Usually, I prefer to plan ahead so for me an appetizer that can be made ahead is a must for any party or gathering that I’m organizing, after all, I don’t want to be thinking about it before everyone arrives.

BBQ Chicken Dip

The other great thing? You can serve it with anything and everything! This dip is so versatile that it goes great with nachos, bread, vegetables, and even toasted tortillas. Don’t worry a lot about what to serve it with because it will only be a vehicle to transport it. When you have a dip this good you don’t need to worry about anything else.

BBQ Chicken Dip

BBQ Chicken Dip

  • ½ Pound chicken breasts
  • 3 Bacon strips
  • ½ Brick cream cheese
  • ½ Cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 Onion, chopped into small pieces
  • 1 Cup shredded white American cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions, as garnish

Directions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the chicken for 8 minutes each side or until golden.
  2. Transfer to a cutting board and cut it into small pieces, set aside.
  3. Chop the bacon and cook it in a pan over medium heat for 6 minutes or until crispy. Set aside
  4. Optional: soften the cream cheese taking it to the microwave for a couple of seconds.
  5. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese, white American cheese, BBQ sauce, salt, and pepper.
  6. Incorporate the onion, bacon and chicken
  7. Transfer to a serving bowl and garnish with green onions and some bacon.
  8. Optional: Cover and take to the fridge for up to 3 days.
  9. Serve and enjoy.
